I love the Vaught homestead.
It’s the house I was brought home from the hospital to and the house I left for college from.
It’s simple, cozy, and filled with two of the most incredible people – mom and dad.
Visits to the homestead are a treasure and always a tearful goodbye.
This weekend our plans weirdly happened where I was in Sedalia and J went to Bentonville.
It’s a mess.
And definitely not my first option to spend two days away from my buddy.
So is life.
My dad had been planning a dinner & movie evening for a group of their friends and I am so thankful that I happened to be in town.
A German inspired feast, a thought provoking movie – The Book Thief, and excellent company.
It was incredible.
