WEEKENDERS | BABY GIRLS AND A VISIT FROM MOM & POP

Oh weekend, you are too good to us.
It started off watching the cutest two year old girl. We did fun things like eat popcorn for dinner, run around the house, put together puzzles, and go to bed by 8:30.
My favorite was when she’d lean over and say, “Hey Rachel, guess what?”
And then say something in 2-year-old-gibberish.
And laugh hysterically about it.
She has quite the personality.
And I love it.
Saturday we woke up, went to IHOP, came back to take a nap, and then Josh went off to work.
I somehow {magically} woke myself up to pick up groceries and clean, clean, clean.
Rainy days, ya know, they’re for snoozing all day.
My mom & dad planned a little day trip to Springfield on Sunday.
Then went to church with us, ate wings with us, played UNO, walked around downtown, sipped coffee, talked a lot, and made chicken & dumplings.
Their visit was short but very sweet.
The older I get the more I am enjoying our time together.
And savoring every single hug.

  1. What a wonderful weekend! I, too, am learning that my parents really aren't so embarrassing and annoying as they once were when I was a teenager (well, at least most of the time, haha). 🙂 Glad you got to spend time with your parents this weekend!
