MORRISES DO VALENTINE’S DAY

This is the Josh Morris and I’s fourth Valentine’s Day together.
And I must say,
it gets better every year.
I spent the first part of my day with 14 energetic preschoolers – aching for their Valentine’s Day party.
Those sweethearts did not forget their Mrs. Rachel.
I may or may not have had candy for breakfast.
Typical.
The state licensing representative approved my classroom.
Which means that my own nine 4 & 5 year olds will start on Tuesday!
I am so ready.
Josh came to help with the awful play kitchen in the classroom.
Then we gave up and headed home.
Where a dozen yellow roses and a plate full of chocolate covered strawberries was waiting just for me.
We hadn’t planned much {or anything} for Valentine’s Day.
I had a few small things for him.
But he went all out.
That boy.
Josh suggested we do a little clothes shopping – we were both in need of some new threads.
And if you’re going to make a trip to the mall why not grab some dinner there too?
I mean, endless options.
See that pizza there?
I had that plus a Philly Cheesesteak.
Win-win.
We snagged some good deals then met up with a friend to see the Lego movie.
It was late – like 10 o’clock so I slept through a few minutes of it.
But, surprisingly, really enjoyed it.
And laughed.
A lot.
I can’t wait to see what our future Valentine’s Days will look like.
Everyone has been telling us to “enjoy it before kiddos”.
And goodness knows, we are.
What was the best part of your Valentine’s Day?

as much fun as we have now just the two of us on valentines day…i'm sure when we have kids it will be just as fun. just a different kind of fun.

  2. First of all, that photo of the roses is STUNNING. So pretty. My friend, you have quite the eye for photography!

Secondly, hooray for an approval for your class! I looove that you get to have a class of nine kiddos. I would die for a class that size. 🙂

And I also love that you got to spend time together with your valentine. Hooray for that!

p.s. I so want to see the Lego movie now! I've heard really good things about it!

p.p.s. I would so totally fall asleep if it was that late, too. 'Tis the life of a preschool teacher, right? 🙂
