{A bug hunt isn’t complete without the hammer of Thor.}
This past weekend we had the privilege of taking care of three boys {ages 6, 4, and 2ish} while their parents had a weekend to themselves.  Three boys are exhausting.  So much fun, but exhausting.  If anyone deserves a weekend off, it’s these guys. But for us {who are not awoken at 6 a.m. every morning} it was more on the fun side.  We loved playing games, running around, and being silly. And one morning of being woken up at 6 a.m., changing a diaper, and dozing off while feeding a baby his milk, only to see two little blond heads peak around the corning at 6:30, is a little on the fun side.  I see it as a little peek into our lives 5 years from now.
We played all the classics – Ele-Fun, Hungry Hungry Hippos, the new {stinky} Operation, and even managed to brave the cold for a bug hunt.
Then Sunday morning the parents arrived with glowing faces and three happy boys ran to them for hugs.  We ran by Starbucks, taught our very last preschool Sunday School, then took a three hour long nap.
A nap has never felt so sweet.
