seventeen.

Mom works days, Dad works afternoons so a dinner together is rare.

But not impossible!

Mom and Dad had blueberry pancakes {I was still snoozin.} together, then mom came home for her lunch and we had some tasty shrimp, corn casserole, and a salad {with greens straight from the lettuce!} while Dad opened his present.
Dad and I spent some quality time picking up the lawnmower, visiting the welding shop, and even in the garage for a little – him making a gypsy chicken wagon and me punching holes in more cans.

Dad has his dinner at work at 8 so mom and I picked up one of Dad’s favorite – LJS!
Mmm…hushpuppies.
We drove down the road to find the perfect view of the sunset while we ate our dinner.

Birthdays are the sweetest.
